”I am hoping someone can help me out. I have been searching high and low for a new set of strut assembly for my Max. These are the permanent steel parts that the strut slides into. The mushroom top mount on mine is badly rusted and needs replaced. I will put in new struts while I have it all apart. It seems obvious that none are available new. This Maxima was unchanged from 1981-1984. Other Datsun parts were often interchangable, but I don't have an interchange manual.

I was hoping one of you could:

a. direct me to a different strut assembly for some other car that will bolt on. Any make or model.

b. know of a new one available.

c. have a good unrusted (from the south or arid west) that has many years of service left in it.
